Gay Caribbean Pageant in NYC
CaribWorldNews, BROOKLYN, New York, Thurs. Aug. 13, 2009: A Gay Caribbean pageant is set to take center stage in Brooklyn, New York next month.
Five male contestants representing Jamaica, St. Lucia, Barbados, Martinique and Guyana will battle for the crown on Saturday September 19, at Unity Hall, 2578 Atlantic Avenue, between Georgia Avenue and Alabama Avenue.
They will appear in full female attire during every appearance. In keeping with most pageant criteria, the contestants will be judged based on the following categories: talent, couture swimwear, evening wear and interview. The show will afford Caribbean gays an opportunity to showcase their talents before a home crowd.
The individual contestants are: Mimi Mancini, representing Jamaica; Frantica Boujoules represents St. Lucia; Rehanna B, from Barbados; Madame Fleur de Fleur from the French Caribbean island of Martinique and Vanessa Flowers of Guyana.
